Happy Numbers

Birthdaybash1 Here is another fun & bright card from my upcoming Birthday Bash Stamp-a-Stack.  The main image stamp features numbers from 0 to 9, plus "st", "nd", "rd", and "th".  You can simply highlight the number for any birthday, as I have done here for a 5th birthday.  I stamped the image with Black Staz-on ink, then colored the numbers with Bashful Blue and Real Red markers.

This would be a great card to have on hand for upcoming birthdays.  I plan to keep a couple for those last-minute parties that my children always get invited to.  :0)

Holiday Stamp-a-Stack

A downside to being a Doctor of Chiropractic is that you know when something is really wrong with your own body.  A few weeks ago, I started having trouble with my right elbow.  I've had minor problems with it in the past and have jokingly called it "stamper's elbow."  However, this time it was bad and I knew that I had an ulnar nerve entrapment.  I also had a Stamp-a-Stack coming up and was worried that I would not be able to cut card stock for my guests.

With some rest and therapy, I was able to help my elbow pain.  However, I didn't want to irritate it more by cutting tons of paper.  You'll see that the cards I designed for this class are super simple.  Almost all of my guests were finished within 1 hour.  We made 2 each of 4 designs.  The other card was featured in this previous post.

Holidayminiswaps

The picture above may give you some indication of why my elbow was hurting.....so, the first card was a simplified version of one of my recent swap cards.

The finished size of this card is 3" x 6".  The main question everyone asked is if we have envelopes to fit this size of card.  The answer is "yes!".  Item # 107286  Small Open-End Envelopes.

And I just had to throw one Halloween card in the mix.  My customers LOVED the Spider Web embossing folder, but are wanting ideas for using it at other times of the year.  We decided it would be good for an "Over the Hill" birthday.  If you've got a creative idea, share it by adding a comment at the end of this post.

Cute Mojo 155

Well, I obviously like the sketch from Mojo Monday this week, because I used it again....this time on a holiday card for my first Holiday Stamp-a-Stack tonight.  (You can see my wicked Halloween card here)

Cutemojo

The card features A Cute Christmas stamp set and the Candy Cane Specialty Designer Series Paper.....check out the red glitter stripes!

Cutechristmas
A Cute Christmas (Set of 9)

120825  Wood Mount    $25.95

121133  Clear Mount     $18.95

I also used the Big Shot to cut the circles:  Scallop Circle #2 for the large scallop and Circles #2 for the large white and small white circles.

One of the reasons this sketch is so great is that you can use up small scraps of coordinating papers to create a beautiful card.  Here are the measurements I used for the Candy Cane paper:

Blue Snowflakes:  1-1/4" x 3-1/4"

Dots:  1-1/2" x 3-1/4"

Green Mittens:  1" x 3-1/4"

Glitter Stripes:  2" x 4"

There is a contest on Mojo Monday this week, so if you use this sketch, be sure to enter before 8PM MT on Sunday.

As I stated earlier, this is one of the cards for tonight's Stamp-a-Stack.  We'll be making 8 cards, 2 each of 4 designs.  (I'll be sharing the other cards with you soon!)  If you live near Kokomo, Indiana, I'd love to have you join us at an upcoming class.  You can view all my events here.

Got More Treats

Last Friday was the Got Treats Stamp-a-Stack.  I've already shared the cupcake card, so it's time for you to see the other 3 cards.

Gotlove

This card would be great for an anniversary or a fun wedding/engagement card.  It uses the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, and a little bit of the Play Date designer series paper.

Gottreatspumpkin

I am soooooo holding back on sharing all of my Halloween projects with you, but I was able to sneak this card in.  Wouldn't this stamp image be perfect on the Pumpkin Poop boxes?  I've got your wheels turning, don't I?  The designer paper is called Wicked Fun Specialty and it features black flocking.  Some of the black circles are fuzzy....love it!

Gotmerry

And last but not least, GINGERBREAD MEN!!!  Something about these little guys just makes me smile.  The large stamp image is from the Got Treats stamp set, but the smaller gingerbread man image is from a Holiday Mini stamp set called Jolly Bingo Bits.   The designer paper is called Jolly Holiday.

On all of the cards, I used the 1-3/4" circle punch and the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch.  I just changed the layouts and the designer paper choice to fit the occasion.  Most of the stamp images were inked with markers. I just love it when you can create many different cards with one stamp set and a limited number of supplies.

Got MOJO?

If you are a follower of my blog, you could probably tell that I have taken a bit of a break from stamping.  The summer months have been so busy & chaotic, so I've had to put a a few things on the back burner.

However, my new stamps and accessories from the new catalog have been begging for me to play with them.  One of my first purchases was the Got Treats stamp set.  I love that it can be used for so many different occasions and the Mojo Monday sketch this week was great inspiration.

Eggcellenteggs

If you flip through the Occasions Mini catalog, you might just miss a hidden treasure on page 23....the Eggcellent Eggs kit (item #117179   $9.95).  This kit features die-cut flowers, leaves, and egg stands, as well as rub-ons and adhesive-backed rhinestones.  There are enough supplies to decorate up to 2 dozen eggs!

But what if you don't plan to decorate 2 dozen eggs for Easter?

How about whipping up a few cards?

This week I'll be sharing those card ideas with you and you are going to love them all.  Trust me...it's all in the details.

Chickcard2

The first card is very simple.  The card base is So Saffron card stock, layered with Whisper White and Certainly Celery card stocks.  And by the way, I can make cards without using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  :0)

The chick image is from the Eggcoutrements stamp set.  I stamped it in So Saffron ink onto Whisper White card stock and trimmed it with scissors.  The image was layered onto a 1-3/8" circle of Certainly Celery and a Scallop circle of So Saffron.

Now look closely at the details:

Chickcu

See the So Saffron printed strip....that is one of the die-cut egg stands!  And the white floral border.....cute rub-ons!

Don't you just love it?  These kits are only available while supplies last, so you'll want to order early.  Visit my Stampin' Up website anytime to place your order.

I've got more cards made with this kit to share with you this week and I'll have details about my upcoming Easter Stamp-a-stack featuring these cards.
