I wanted to create a very soft, romantic card for Valentine's Day.  I started with Shimmery White card stock and die cut 3 rows of hearts with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  I added a small amount of color to the bottom 2 rows with an aquapainter and Pink Pirouette ink refills.

Next, I stamped "Love" from the So You stamp set in Pink Pirouette.  I layered a second piece of Shimmery White card stock behind the die cut piece, before placing it on a Pink Pirouette card base.

The focal point was created with strips of Silver Foil, a die-cut arrow, punched hearts, and some white baker's twine that was separated into individual strands.

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!  Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring projects.  Be sure to visit all 10 stops.....you don't want to miss anything!

I've been seeing some gorgeous watercolor cards on Pinterest lately.  At leadership, they talked about using Shimmery White card stock for watercoloring and I could not wait to get home to try some new techniques.Butterflycardside

For this card, I applied drops of reinker with an aquapainter to the center of the card.  The colors I used were Melon Mambo, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie.  Next, I spritzed the entire front of the card with water to get the colors to run.

Butterflycardfront

Once the card stock was dry, I die cut the butterfly with the Big Shot from the center of the watercolored area.  I die-cut a second butterfly from coaster board, layered the butterflies together and popped it up with dimensionals.

It's really fun mixing these colors and it was difficult to stop at just one.  You'll definitely want to check back later for more watercolor cards.

Two years ago, I posted a tutorial on how to make a Double Easel Valentine's Day card.  It remains one of my most-PINNED posts.  I decided it was time to give it an update with new products.  The picture above shows what the card looks like when it is closed.  When you open it, you get the WOW!

I used the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack, the You Plus Me stamp set, and the new Chalkboard paper.  You'll find the complete list of supplies at the end of this post.

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!  There are 10 stops and you don't want to miss any of them.

I've been doing a lot of holiday crafting, but most of it hasn't involved paper.  My Silhouette Cameo has been dusted off and I've been trying out some new things.  The great thing is that I've been able to use some of the downloads from My Digital Studio in a different way.

CookieplateI created this cookie plate with the Waiting for Santa digital download.  It was so quick & easy to make!  I found an inexpensive plate at Target, then added the vinyl design.

Naughtycollage

One of my favorite projects so far has been this shirt for my daughter.  The saying fits her perfectly (let's just say it's been a rough year at school).

I could not believe how easy it was to do and I'll be sharing more about it in a future blog post.  If you want to stay updated, subscribe to my blog or LIKE my page on Facebook.  You can also get this download for FREE to create your own masterpiece.Freedownload

It's the most wonderful time of the week.......Monday Montage time!  We've got some great projects to inspire you so be sure to stop by all 10 stops.

In Indiana, our first snow has already come and gone.  It's kind of early for it to snow in our area and we really didn't get enough of the white stuff to build a snowman.  But I've got a great little guy that you can create in minutes using the Gift Box Punch Board.

Snowman1

The head is a Medium Box (2.5" x 2.5") made with Whisper White cardstock.  The hat is a Small Box (1.75" x 1.75") made with Basic Black card stock.  I cut a circle with the Circle Framelits for the hat brim.  The eyes (and buttons) were punched with the 3/4" circle punch and the nose is the triangle punch cut in half.  I added accents to the eyes with the white gel pen and the mouth was drawn with the Journaling pens.

You can see how easy it is to create a gift box in the video below.

In a recent class, we made a full snowman with 2 larger boxes for the lower body.  I added buttons to the middle section.  These would be perfect for gift giving.....load it with hot chocolate mix and candy canes OR a matching set of mittens and a hat.

MONDAY is THE DAY to get the Gift Box Punch Board for only $13.96 during our Online Extravaganza sale.   Contact your demonstrator to purchase it at this special price or visit my Online Store to get yours today!

Thanks for joining us on Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Be sure to visit all 10 stops.  There are lots of goodies to see this week.

WintersasOn Sunday, I hosted a Winter Stamp-a-Stack for my local customers.  Each guest made 8 cards, 2 each of the designs you see above.  Today, I'll share details about my favorite card.  You'll want to check back later in the week for more information about the other 3 cards.

Whitechristmas

I just LOVE the White Christmas stamp set!  Because it is a photopolymer set, you can see exactly where you are placing your stamps.  It made it very easy to position the deer in the perfect spot.

I used a White Craft pad and a sponge dauber to add the snow to the ground.  The Crumb Cake blendabilites were used to color the deer and the trees.  And finally, I used the white gel pen to add snow to the tree branches and randomly on the ground.

Hellofall3

It is officially my favorite time of year.  I lived in Texas for most of my twenties and really missed Fall while I was there.  So this card is for anyone that is missing out on the pumpkins, mums, colorful leaves, and crisp autumn air.

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!  I've had a whirlwind of a weekend, so I had to whip up some quick cards for the blog hop.  I kept them very simple.....just one stamp set, Whisper White card stock, some Designer Series Paper, and a few new accessories from the Holiday catalog.  You can view the complete supply list at the end of this post.

Sketch

For the cut-outs, I used the Seasonal Snapshot Project Life Digital Download and my Silhouette Cameo.  This download has so many great SVG images that will be perfect for Fall, Winter, & Holiday cards.

Leaf2

I placed strips of washi tape on the bottom layer of the card and popped up the top layer with dimesnionals.  The greeting is from the Hostess Good Greetings stamp set.

Snow2

For this card, I popped up the negative snowflakes over a snowflake-patterned paper.  The sequins and silver snowflake really make this card sparkle and shine.

You'll definitely want to check out the other 9 stops on the hop.  Click forward to see the amazing Wendy or back for our Artisan, Kaitlyn.

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop! I'm just going to apologize now for not having a project from the Holiday catalog.  My daughter has requested a Memaid-theme for her 8th birthday and I'm in "under the sea" mode.  Yesterday, I spent 5 hours working on her invitations.....this isn't the invite.  I'll share it once the party is over.

CTS_90
I used this week's sketch from CAS(E) this sketch so that I wouldn't have to think too much.  There is a lot of white space, but I think it really makes the focal point pop even more.

Bythetide2

For the background, I used the Night of Navy Blendabilities markers to simply color from darkest(bottom) to lightest(top).  I then stamped the coral image in White Craft ink over the background.

Bythetide1

A small component of Bella's birthday invitation is some glittery bubbles made with the new Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and Blendabilities.  This paper is AMAZING and the effects you can create are just WOW!

I didn't really want to cut out the fish and seahorse, so I used my Silhouette Cameo to do all the hard work.  I've got a tutorial on how to do this here.

Be sure to check out all 10 stops on the hop!  I know my friends have some amazing projects to share this week.

SUDSOL Blog Tour Stop #19

SUDSOL Blog Tour

Today, I am featuring samples using the Tropical Party stamp set, Island Oasis Designer Series Paper, and the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  These are actually my workshop projects for the month of June.  In a workshop setting, I will demonstrate at least one project and provide my guests with 1-2 hands-on project(s).  Lately, I've been focusing on just a few items from the mini catalogs for all of the projects.  This shows my customers that they don't need to own everything in the catalog to create beautiful items and also shows them how versatile our stamps, ink, and paper can be.

Sudsolcard

This card is a great make & take project.  It showcases the stamping with markers technique and only takes a few minutes to put together.  You could use this card for just about any summer occasion---birthdays, a party invitation, thank you, etc.

The Tropical Party stamp set really reminds me of all the fabulous trips that I have taken to Tropical Destinations with my husband.  I think this stamp set is perfect for scrapbooking, too!

Circledetail Flowerdetail

A great perk of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator is that you have the ability to earn wonderful incentive trips.  The first trip I earned was a cruise to the Mexican Riviera.  While we were in Puerto Vallarta, my husband and I found a tree named Ficus Benjamina.  Of course, I made him get his picture taken with it!

This scrapbook page is simple to demonstrate.  Stampin' Up offers many tools to create circles and this page utilizes punches and the circle cutter.  The circles form a scallop border around the photo mat, as well as a fabulous accent at the bottom of the page.  I also used the Flower Layers Originals die, but you could easily substitute the Island Floral die or any of our other Big Shot flower dies.

I have prepared a pdf file with measurements & basic instructions for both of these projects.  Feel free to use these projects in your upcoming workshops.

If it weren't for SUDSOL, I probably would not have been a demonstrator for the past 8 years.  I count myself very lucky to have found this group several months after I signed up as a demonstrator.  My upline lives in another state and SUDSOL has really filled this void by providing me with creative ideas, class outlines, motivation, and an enormous amount of information that has helped me grow my business over the years.

If you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you can receive a FREE 2-week trial membership to SUDSOL and check out everything it has to offer.  Just click the button below to get started.

While you are there, be sure to check out my SUDSOL gallery.  It even has samples dating back to 2004.  Yikes!!!
