Hello Birthday Girl

What I Love

 

Have I told you lately how much I love being a Stampin' UP! demonstrator?

I just celebrated my 14 year anniversary with the company.  It's hard for me to believe that I've stuck with anything that long (other than my husband, of course).  Thanks to everyone that celebrated with me this weekend--either at the Virtual Party or my Open House.  You are truly the reason I do this every day!

 

As I was looking for a make & take idea for my open house, I ran across this card by fellow demonstrator Julie Kettlewell. Her blog really sucked me in.  This gal has some serious TALENT!!!!  And then I saw that she CASEd (copy and share everything) one of my cards.  So today, I'm returning the favor!

 

I used the What I Love stamp set with her color combination of Bermuda Bay and Old Olive.  Then I mixed things up by utilizing this week's CAS(E) this sketch for my layout.

 

 

I began by stamping the flowers in Bermuda Bay ink.  The flower is created by stamping 3 different images, which gives it that water-colored look. I filled in the empty areas with the leaves and small flowers.

 

Next I die-cut the "hello" from the center of the flower image. I cut 5 more "hello"s out of Whisper White card stock and glued them all together to give it some dimension.

 

 

The final touches include the Bermuda Bay 1/8" striped ribbon and a few of the White Perfect Accents.  You can find a complete list of supplies at the end of this post.

Everyone needs birthday cards, right?

Well, I am just really digging the It's My Party suite of products in the Occasions catalog (available now).

 

The focal point of this card is a die cut from the Party Pop-UP Thinlits.  I paired it with the It's My Party Designer Series Paper and Enamel Dots, Party with Cake stamp set, and Basic Black/Mint Macaron Baker's Twine.  Isn't it great how all these products coordinate?

Celebrate With Cake

 I just love bright & happy paper!  The It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack is just full of fun papers like the one above.  I paired the paper with the Party with Cake stamp set to create a very festive Birthday card.

 

A little fringe border and a blackboard-style banner complete the card.
