The Occasions Mini Catalog is on its way.  One of my favorite stamp sets from the catalog is Love You Sew.  It's available to hostesses only and features some great crafty sayings and images.  I paired the stamp set with the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack and Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit to create a card that will be perfect for Valentine's Day.

Every Tuesday, I send out a weekly newsletter with specials, upcoming events, and often I'll include an exclusive sample with instruction sheet.  In this week's newsletter, my subscribers will receive the instruction sheet for this card.  If you don't want to miss out, you can subscribe HERE and even view past newsletters.

Occasions Catalog products will be available to purchase on January 5th, 2016.  If you would like a copy of the catalog mailed to you and you are not currently working with another demonstrator, email me at [email protected].  I'd be happy to send you one!

SSINK Anything Goes

With the holidays quickly approaching, the designers at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration decided to do an "anything goes" theme.  Click here to check out our blog.

I've been packing up goodies for Secret Santa gifts.  This is one of my favorites!  It holds 2 Keurig cups and is perfect for any coffee-lover.

Timetochill

I purchased the template for the treat holder in the Silhouette Design Store, then cut it with the Cameo and Whisper White card stock.  The Brick Wall embossing folder was perfect for creating an ice block/igloo appearance.  The little penguin and the greeting are from the Snow Place photopolymer stamp set.

The inside cleverly secures 2 k-cups.

Holiday Projects with Heat Transfer Vinyl

Pillow

If you are regular visitor to my blog, you'll find this post to be a bit unusual.  I'm mostly known as a paper-crafter, but today I'm going to share some vinyl projects that I created with my Silhouette Cameo.  More specifically, I am featuring holiday projects made with Heat Transfer Vinyl.  I have recently fallen in love with Siser Easy-Weed Vinyl.  It is so easy to work with and like its name implies, it is easy to weed.  You just have to remember 2 things:

1.  Vinyl is placed shiny-side down onto the mat.

2.  Mirror the image before cutting.

As long as you do those two things, you'll have great success with Heat Transfer Vinyl.

Be sure to scroll all the way to the end for more Silhouette projects from my blogger friends and a chance to win some great Silhouette prizes!

Jollypillow

My husband hates clutter and has been on a mission to simplify our household.  If it were up to me, I would buy decorative pillows for every season!  I think I have found a happy compromise.......customized pillow covers.

Naughtyornicepillow

I can create different designs for every holiday/season and these will take up very little storage space.  Both of these files were purchased in the Silhouette store.

Santasack

I created personalized Santa sacks for my children.  These have come in very handy as we attend different family celebrations.  We use them to transport gifts to the parties and keep the gifts they receive organized.

Believeshirts

My daughter loves to dress like mom. I created these "Believe" shirts for us to wear to some of our Christmas parties.  We've gotten lots of compliments on them.

Here is a close-up of the design purchased HERE.

And finally, here is an adorable baby shirt made with a file from the Silhouette Design store.

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Card Sketch#28

We've got an easy card sketch this month at Stylin' Stampin' INKSPiration.  Click HERE to see what the designers have created and we'd love to have you upload your own creations!

Ssink28cs

For today's card, I am featuring a suite of products from the upcoming Occasions catalog.  You'll be able to purchase these products beginning January 5th.

Sympathyloveblossoms
At our demonstrator ON Stage event last month, we die-cut this heart with the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die using a piece of patterned paper from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack.  Next, we stamped a few flowers from the Bloomin' Love stamp set onto the heart in Blushing Bride ink.

Sympathycu

I added some glitter enamel dots and a paper clip bow from the Love Blossoms embellishment kit.  The "With Sympathy" greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  The greeting fits perfectly inside the Washi label punch.  I then layered it onto a piece of punched Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper.

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!  Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring projects.  Be sure to visit all 10 stops.....you don't want to miss anything!

Today I'm featuring a suite of products from the upcoming Occasions catalog.  You are going to fall in love with the It's My Party line ~ it's perfect for any and all birthday celebrations.

Hb2

I started by stamping "Happy Birthday" from the Party Wishes stamp set in Mint Macaroon ink onto Whisper White cardstock.  I then stamped several balloon strings above the "Y".  On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped a candle in Mint Macaroon ink and 3 balloons in Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Mint Macaroon inks.  There is a new Party Punch Pack that made it quick and easy to punch out the candle and balloons.   I then adhered them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Hbcu

The final touches include banners of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and It's My Party Designer Series Paper, plus a bow of Basic Black/Mint Macaroon Bakers twine. Occasions Catalog products will be available to purchase on January 5th, 2016.

Christmas Blog Hop

2015 SSINK Blog Hop Badge

Welcome to our monthly blog hop!  This month, we are featuring Christmas projects.  As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 6 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Laura at Crafty Chicks Creating. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I mentioned in my newsletter this week that I was in sticker shock over the cost of gift card holders. I've got a bunch of nieces, nephews, and cousins to buy for at Christmas.  Since I have no clue what they might want or need, a gift card is a logical choice.  However, when I went shopping for gift card holders, I about died!  Decent ones were priced from $2-$3!  Can you believe it?  So, I knew I could make some easily with supplies I already had on hand.

Gcsneakpeek

On all of the designs I'm featuring today, I used the envelope punch board to create the holder.  There is a card size listed as "gift card" on the punch board, but I chose to use the 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" card size to create my envelope.  You will start with a piece of cardstock or designer series paper measuring 5-1/2" x 5-1/2", so you can easily make 2 with one sheet of card stock.

Gcholders

These first two designs were created with Whisper White and Crumb Cake cardstock.  I then just used punched pieces and scraps to create the accents.  Honestly, I just used stuff that was already on my desk!

SNOWMAN

Snowman Hat ~ square and a strip of Basic Black cardstock (I didn't even measure); a snowflake element, and a red glimmer paper flower from the Tree Builder punch

Snowman Eyes ~ 1/4" circle punch of Basic Black cardstock accented with White Gel Pen

Carrot Nose ~ Trimmed a piece of Tangerine Tango cardstock that had been punched with the Tree Builder punch

Mouth ~ hand-drawn with a Basic Black marker

Scarf ~ Strip of Real Red cardstock, cut unevenly and used the fringe scissors on the end

REINDEER

Antlers ~ Early Espresso cardstock punched with the Tree Builder punch

Eyes ~ 1/2" circle punch with Basic Black cardstock, accented with White Gel Pen

Nose ~ 1" circle punch with Red Glimmer Paper

Gcholders2

And here are a couple more that I whipped up with some scraps that were on my desk.  Seriously, just use whatever you have!  These look every bit as good as what I was seeing in the stores and you can do this!

Of course, if you don't have the Envelope Punch Board, you should really add it to your Christmas wish list.

Be sure to continue on to the next stop on the blog hop.  I'm sure Kim has something wonderful to share today!

SSINKspiration Color Challenge 28

Ssinkcc28

Don't you just love this color combo?  It's definitely one of my favorites for the holidays.

We've got an adorable assortment of cards featuring this color challenge on the SSINKspiration blog today.  You should really check them out!  We would love to see your creations, too!

Merryreindeer

I created the dotted background by using a sponge dauber and Early Espresso ink with the Dots Decorative Mask.  For the focal point, I started with a strip of Whisper White card stock and used the Fringe scissors along one edge.  Next, I added a strip of Early Espresso polka dot paper from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.

Merryreindeercu

The "merry" is a die cut from the Christmas Greetings thinlits.  As a final touch, I added a reindeer clip and a red pom-pom from the roll of trim (both of these items are retiring).

You'll find a complete list of supplies at the end of this post.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
