Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!  Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring projects.  Be sure to visit all 10 stops.....you don't want to miss anything!

I'm just going to apologize now.  I've probably made several hundred Christmas cards in the last two months.  I. Just. Can't. Make. One. More.  So sorry!

It's also hard to make Christmas cards because I've got so many new toys to play with!  I was able to preorder some new products from the upcoming Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs, so it's been taunting me for a few days.

FMS Final 214-001I paired a stamp set called The Sky's the Limit with this week's Freshly Made Sketch to come up with today's card.

I started by using an aqua painter and Pool Party ink to create a watercolor wash on some thick Whisper White card stock.  If you haven't tried this new, thicker card stock, you really should! I stamped a few clouds and the greeting in Basic Gray ink.  The plane was stamped and fussy cut before adhering to the card with dimensionals.

I added some bling with a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper and a few carefully placed sequins.  My son will be graduating from high school in a few weeks and I think this card will be perfect for him.

You'll find a complete list of supplies at the end of this post.

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!  Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring projects.  Be sure to visit all 10 stops.....you don't want to miss anything!

Today I'm sharing a fun holiday card featuring non-traditional colors.  You wouldn't normally think of Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Cucumber Crush, and Pool Party as Christmas colors.  However, I took my inspiration from flocked trees and those cute little bottle brush trees.

Brushtrees

I used markers to color the trees from the Wonderland stamp set, and masked the bottom portion of the card with scrap paper before stamping.  Next, I used the fine tip glue pen and dazzling diamonds glitter to create a flocked, glittery look.

My big Christmas Card Celebration is this Saturday.  In this class, we'll be making 20 different cards.  If you are local to Kokomo, Indiana, you can check out the event information HERE.  Today, I'm sharing a sneak peek of the goodie bags the pre-registered guests will receive when they check-in.

These bags are super simple to make and would be perfect for quick gift-giving at the holidays. You could even have your kids help you!  I plan to make some up for my daughter's classroom treats.

Simple punches and scraps of card stock is all you need.  The "no peeking" is from the Oh What Fun stamp set.  I punched it out with the Washi label punch, along with a scrap of Designer Series Paper, then stapled it to the top of the bag.  You'll find a complete list of the supplies used at the bottom of this post.
