Monday Montage 48

Mondaymontage6

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!  Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring projects.  Be sure to visit all 10 stops.....you don't want to miss anything!

While many of my stamping buddies were at the Annual Stampin' UP! convention in Salt Lake City, I was at home having classes and watching the convention sessions during the live streaming sessions. This first project is a stepped-up version of a card featured in the current Stampin' Success magazine for demonstrators.  We made the basic version at our monthly meeting on Sunday.

Watercolorwings

This card features the Watercolor Wings stamp set.  I love how versatile this set can be!  There is even a matching set of Framelits.  Colors used were Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist, and Soft Suede.

The next project is a Project Life by Stampin' UP page that we did as a Make and Take on Saturday's scrapbooking class.

ProjectLifemandt

I love this smaller-sized page and find it a lot less intimidating than 12" x 12" layouts.  I chose Smoky Slate Designer Series Paper from the Neutrals collection to fill the 4"x6" slot and 3"x4" slot.  We heat embossed the "Congrats" from the Bravo stamp set, then added a few Bermuda Bay splatters from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

Woohooshaker

To create the shaker element, I placed 2 pieces of window sheet together and adhered three of the sides with Washi Tape wrapped around the edges.  I filled the shaker with sequins, then sealed the final edge with the Washi Tape.  As a final step, I stamped "Woo-Hoo" from the Bravo stamp set with the White Stazon ink pad.

Whitestazon

As I was watching the live streaming on Saturday, one of the presenters was demonstrating the White Stazon pad on a project.  She mentioned that there was a little piece of plastic included in the package to spread the ink on the pad.

*****Insert a flurry of curse words here*****

I realized that as I had been preparing this project for my class that I threw this little spreader in the trash.  UGH!!!  So off I went to dig through the trash.....I found it!  I hope you can learn from my mistake.

Project Life by Stampin' UP! ~ Moments Like These

On Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, the designers are sharing projects made with Project Life by Stampin' UP!  You can view all the projects HERE.

 Recitalpl

I was able to create this page in minutes with the Moments Like These Project Life Card Collection.  The cards are mostly black & white with a few pops of color, so they are perfect for almost any occasion.

Momentslikethes

With the coordinating Accessory Pack, I was able to do the gold "recital" lettering, a shaker pocket, and a few sticker embellishments.  The accessory pack contains sequins, washi tape, clips, stickers and more.

Momentsliketheseaccessory

And I'm really loving the new layout options with the photo page protectors in Variety Pack 2.  I used the one shown in the middle of the pic below.  It measures about 10" x 12" and adds a nice variety to my albums.

Personalized Shower Caddy

Showertote

My children have left for the annual family camping trip in Southern Missouri.  I'm missing them already and it's only been a few hours.

Before they left, I wanted to make them something that would help them keep track of all their toiletries.  I found these cute shower caddies and decided to personalize them with vinyl and my Silhouette Cameo.

Smallcaddy

The neat thing about these caddies is that they have a smaller caddy inside.  This will be perfect for the kids to tote back and forth to the bath house at the campsite with their shampoo, body wash, and toothbrushes.

Isabellacaddy

For my daughter, I selected a simple fairy design that I cut with light pink vinyl.  I added the "Isabella" in lime green vinyl over the fairy image.  Both of these are available in the Silhouette Design Store.

Chandlercaddy

My son is a teenager, so he really doesn't LIKE anything (except maybe girls). I wasn't going to put a girl on his caddy so I settled for a zombie with his name.  The zombie image is from the Silhouette Design Store.

This was such a quick & easy project.  Not only are these caddies great for camping trips, but they would also be perfect for college students.  I'm already planning on making a few more as gifts.

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Card Sketch 23

We've got another fabulous card sketch for you over on Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  You can check out what our designers did with the sketch and play along with us by clicking HERE.

I started by embossing the dots with the Big Shot and Large Polka Dot embossing folder.  Next, I lightly sponged Pink Pirouette ink onto the raised dots with a sponge dauber. Then, I cut the diamond shape into the middle of the card. (this involved some measurements and other boring stuff)

Ssinkcs23

The paper behind the cut out is from the Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper Stack. I stamped "happy birthday" from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto Pink Pirouette card stock, then punched it out with the NEW Washi Label Punch.  I love how this punch gives new life to that stamp set ~ it's a great one and so versatile!

Ssinkcscu

Gold Metallic Thread was placed behind the greeting.  I watercolored the Birthday Cake with Blender Pens and ink pads, then fussy cut it out. To make it extra fancy, I added just a bit of Dazzling Details.

Don't forget to PIN it!  All you have to do is hover over one of my pics, and the Pinterest icon will pop up.  I'm always looking for new people to follow, so Follow Me while you are there and I'll follow you back.

Have a fabulous week!

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!  Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring projects.  Be sure to visit all 8 stops.....you don't want to miss anything!

I have quite a few birthdays remaining this month, so I'm cranking out the cards.  I'm really loving the Pink-Black-Gold color combo lately.  I hope you don't get too sick of it!  This birthday card layout is from CAS(E) this Sketch.

CTS_131

I decided to do a slight variation of the Bokeh technique. I started by sponging random dots with a sponge dauber and Pink Pirouette ink with the Dots Decorative Mask.  To create larger dots, I punched a 1-1/4" circle out of a scrap of card stock and used it as a stencil.  The splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge filled in some of my white space with tiny pink dots.

Celebrate

Once the ink was completely dry, I stamped the star from the Project Life Moments Like These Photopolymer stamp set with Versamark ink, then heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder.

Celebratecu

The focal point is a combination of the Everyday Chic Designer Washi Tape (a new fave) and the Expressions Natural Elements.

A little birdie told me that one of our design team members will be having a birthday soon.  I wanted to surprise her with something special ~ A Pocket Letter!

What are Pocket Letters?

Suplbirthday

This is my first attempt with using exclusively Stampin' Up! products.  Basically, you fill a 9-pocket page protector and send it to someone.  I've been so intrigued by this idea and I've got an awesome Pinterest board with even more ideas.

Single Layer Cards

It's all about the simple cards on Stylin' Stampin' INKSpiration today.  Our challenge was to create single layer cards and I think everyone outdid themselves.

Singlelayersunshine

For the background of my card, I used Soft Sky ink on the Watercolor Wash stamp set.  Before stamping onto a Whisper White Note Card, I punched several clouds with the tree builder punch and placed them on my card with a dab of adhesive.  Once I had stamped the background, I removed the punched clouds to reveal a soft, dreamy sky.

The sun, heart, and greeting are from the Over the Rainbow stamp set.  To finish the card, I tied on some Black Bakers Twine.  You'll find the complete list of supplies at the end of this post.

Somewhere......Over the Rainbow

Caserainbowcu

The NEW Over the Rainbow stamp set is such a fun and versatile set.  I really love the watercolored look.  It immediately went on my wish list because it is so similar to one of my all-time favorite sets:  Work of Art and it had some great greetings, too.

CTS_130

I used this week's CAS(E) this sketch for the layout.

Caserainbow

For the bottom of the card, I used one of the Ovals Collection Framelits to cut away the bottom.  I layered a second piece of cardstock behind that had been embossed with the new Brick Wall embossing folder.

All of the supplies used are listed at the bottom of this post.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Color Challenge ~ You're Sublime

Youresublimecu

One of my favorite new stamp sets is You're Sublime.  The images are so cute and perfect for paper-piecing.  For today's card I combined 2 challenges:  #SSINKCC23 and #FMS193.  I love how it all came together!

Another must-have from the new catalog is the Designer Series Paper stacks.  These come in each color collection plus the in-colors.  It's great to always have a patterned paper on hand for any project.

Product Focus: Decorative Masks

Today on Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, we are showing many different ways of using Decorative Masks.  Be sure to check out the other designers amazing cards!

138313G

My favorite way to use the Decorative Masks is as a stencil with modeling paste.  It creates a raised, dimensional effect on the card stock and dries quickly.

Workofartstencil

I began by stamping one of the swooshes from the Work of Art stamp set three times in Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, and Cajun Craze.  Next, I applied the modeling paste over the stencil and sprinkled the wet paste with glitter.  Once dry, I added a "hello" that was die cut from Basic Black card stock with the Greetings Thinlits die.

CTS_129

For the layout, I used this week's CAS(E) this Sketch to keep it simple.
