Sneak Peek: More Sprinkles of Life

CTS_122

I couldn't just make one card with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, so I used this week's CAS(E) this sketch for layout inspiration.
My other inspiration comes from this card shown at the South Pacific convention.

Cloud2

I used Silver Embossing Powder to create the clouds.  The NEW Tree Builder Punch coordinates with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set.  It punches the cloud and raindrop shapes (plus many more!).

Cloud1

I almost never use Black card stock anymore, but I absolutely love the pops of color against it.  Each of the raindrops was accented with Dazzling Details.  I used a Whisper White craft pad and a sponge dauber to create the white haze behind the cloud.

Did you know that you can PIN any project from my blog very easily?

Just hover over any image and a Pinterest icon will appear in the upper right hand corner of the image.  Click the icon and you've got a new PIN!

Sneak Peek: Sprinkles of Life

I decided to try out a new sketch challenge blog called TGIF Challenges.  There are lots of talented designers on this team, so you'll definitely want to check them out.

Tgifc02

There are so many great new products in the upcoming catalog.  It should be obvious by now that I'm a big fan of the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack.  I think my favorite stamp set so far is Sprinkles of Life.  Not only is it super cute and has a matching punch, but it is also our Ronald McDonald House charity set.

Sprinkles

I used quite a few Big Shot Framelits on this card:

  • Bitty Banners
  • Circles Collection
  • Deco Labels Collection
  • Banners

Sprinkles2
I also created a coordinating envelope for the card with the NEW 2015-2017 In Color Envelope Paper and the Envelope Punch Board.

So cute!  Don't you just love it?

I've started a Pinterest Board for the new catalog.  Check it out and be sure to follow all my boards for more great ideas!

Technique Tuesday ~ Pop Up Box Cards

Today on Stylin' Stampin' INKSpiration, the designers are featuring Pop Up Box Cards.  These are so fun to make and we've even got a fabulous step-by-step video for you on our blog.  Once you create the card base, the sky's the limit when it comes to decorations.  I chose a retiring stamp set and designer series paper to create a very girl-y birthday card.

Sweetboxcard

All of the images (except the clouds) are from the Sweet Stuff stamp set.  The card base is Strawberry Slush card stock which coordinates very nicely with the Confetti Celebration Designer Series Paper.  All of these items will be retired in just a few weeks, so you better not wait to get them!

Here is a close-up of the inside:

Sweetboxcu

I did some coloring with markers and blender pens for a the Ballerina and Bird images.  I used card stock to paper-piece the other images.  To get the images to appear to float, I put them on 1/2" strips of Window Sheet.  This gives the card even more dimension.

Another neat thing about these box cards is that they fold flat for shipping.

All of the items shown can be purchased in my online store.

Stylin' Stampin' INKSpiration Color Challenge #21

10887555_10100213049649220_3080818929470514193_o

We have a new Color Challenge at Stampin' Stylin' Inkspiration and we'd love for you to play along.  You can see what our other designers created here.

Even though the Blendabilities have been discontinued, there are still lots of ways to add color to your stamps.  On this image, I used a Blender Pen and the Hello Honey ink pad for the body.  The Crisp Canteloupe ink and Blender Pen worked perfectly for the face and cheeks.  I added a wash of Island Indigo ink to the outer edges with an Aqua Painter.

You'll find a list of all the supplies used on this card at the end of this post.

Monday Montage 42

Mondaymontage6

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!  Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring projects.  Be sure to visit all 10 stops.....you don't want to miss anything!

I am in the midst of some major Spring cleaning.  As I was working on my stamp room, I came across this card and realized I never shared it on my blog.  I created this card for a punch art swap at convention last year.

Ohsnapside

I just love the little "OH SNAP" from the Hip Notes stamp set, don't you?  If so, you better get it quick....it's on the retirement list and only available for a few more weeks.

I used quite a few punches on this card (obviously).  There is a complete list of supplies at the end of this post.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to click the NEXT button to see what Wendy has in store for you OR you can go BACK to view Kaitlyn's marvelous creations.
