Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop! Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring projects. Be sure to visit all 10 stops.....you don't want to miss anything!
I've been seeing some gorgeous watercolor cards on Pinterest lately. At leadership, they talked about using Shimmery White card stock for watercoloring and I could not wait to get home to try some new techniques.
For this card, I applied drops of reinker with an aquapainter to the center of the card. The colors I used were Melon Mambo, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie. Next, I spritzed the entire front of the card with water to get the colors to run.
Once the card stock was dry, I die cut the butterfly with the Big Shot from the center of the watercolored area. I die-cut a second butterfly from coaster board, layered the butterflies together and popped it up with dimensionals.
It's really fun mixing these colors and it was difficult to stop at just one. You'll definitely want to check back later for more watercolor cards.
