Blended Bloom

I don't really like to color.  You may have noticed that most of my cards are very clean and simple.  I like to stamp quickly, embellish a little, and be done.

So when Stampin' Up! made the announcement about Blendabilities, my response was less than enthusiastic.  As demonstrators, we've been able to order them for several months, but I held out.  I finally got a chance to use them at convention and decided that I would give them a try.

It's going to take a little practice to get this shading thing right, but I like the way it looks.  The color is very vibrant!  I used the Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities with the Blended Bloom stamp.

And don't you just love the black & white paper?  It is from the Back to Black Designer Series Paper Pack.  The sentiment is from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set.

Thinking about trying Blendabilities for yourself, but don't want to make a big investment up front?

Consider joining my Blendabilities Marker Club.  You'll get all the markers plus a lot of extras and without busting your budget.

Order Stampin' Up!

This card has been on my Pinterest Board for awhile and I knew the Work Of Art stamp set would be perfect for a CASE card.  I tried to do a similar color scheme and ended up using Tangelo Twist, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, and Hello Honey.

The sentiments are from the Bravo stamp set which is becoming a new favorite!

I stamped the swooshes on a 4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock, then cut the "checkmark" by hand.   I layered a 2" x 4" piece of the Gold foil sheet behind the cut panels before placing it on the 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card base.

I used this card for a clean & simple swap at convention.  It's hard to believe but I've still got a few more swaps to share.  Check back in a few days....I'm going to try to get them all posted.

Thanks for stopping by!

Monday Montage 25

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!

Today I'm sharing another of my swaps from convention.  I absolutely love this color combo of strawberry slush, lost lagoon, and hello honey paired with black and white.  I used a few of my favorite stamp sets again.....Work of Art, Gorgeous Grunge, and Four You.

The "hello" sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder to help it stand out.  I had to use a stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the chevron stamp for generational stamping to give it an ombre look.

STAMP SETS:  Four You, Work of Art, Gorgeous Grunge

INK:  Strawberry Slush, Hello Honey, Island Indigo, Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate, Versamark

PAPER:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Strawberry Slush

PUNCHES:  Elegant Butterfly, 2-1/2" Circle, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack
