Paper Pumpkin Promo

True confession time........I signed up for Paper Pumpkin when it was first released because I had very high hopes for these kits.  Sadly, I started to become disappointed in the kit offerings and I even quit suggesting them to my customers.

However, I am LOVING the latest kit and I can't wait to get my hands on the next 2 kits!  I plan to take the July kit with me on our camping trip this weekend so that I can have my own little creative escape.

We got a sneak peek of the kits at convention, but we weren't allowed to take pictures.  I did get to make one of the projects from the September kit, so here is just a small taste....

It may not look like much, but you get a great stamp set and lots of great accessories.  Seriously, I can't wait to get my hands on this baby!

And the August kit?  Well, it is super AWESOME!!! I think I'll be ordering an extra one!

So, if you haven't tried Paper Pumpkin yet, now is the perfect time.  Check out this amazing offer....

Beginning in September, I will be having a gathering for my local subscribers to bring their boxes and stamp.  For my long distance subscribers, be sure to follow my Pinterest page to see other projects that you can create with the monthly Paper Pumpkin kits.

I hope you'll join me and start having your own creative escape!

Gorgeous Grunge + E-cutter = WOW

HellocuIf you saw the card from my last post, you got a peek at the negative image from the "hello"s that I die cut with my e-cutter.  I actually made over 50 of this card style.  That's a lot of hellos!

Helloecutter

STAMP SETS:  Gorgeous Grunge, And Many More, Moments Ago (digital)

INK:  Smoky Slate, Hello Honey, Basic Black

PAPER:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Basic Gray, Hello Honey, Silver Glimmer

ACCESSORIES:  Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, MDS, e-cutter

A few people have asked me which e-cutter that I use.  After quite a bit of research, I decided to purchase the Silhouette Cameo.  There is a learning curve with this machine and the software, but overall I have been very happy with my purchase.  I'll be posting some tips and tricks for using the Cameo in an upcoming blog post.  Be sure to follow my blog so you don't miss it!

I've still got a lot of my swap cards from convention to share.  It had been awhile since I had stamped anything and I went on a marathon stamping session the week before convention.  Now I just need to clear off my desk so that I can use some of the new products that I brought home from convention.

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!

As you are reading this, I am traveling home after a whirlwind week at the Stampin' Up convention.  Swapping cards is always a highlight and I couldn't wait to meet up with the Monday Montage girls to swap.  For this week's hop, I am sharing the card that I created.

Hello1I used 3 of my favorite stamp sets:  Gorgeous Grunge, Work of Art, and And Many More.  Seriously, I can't believe how much I used these 3 sets on my swaps this year.  I would consider them must-haves!

Hello2

The chevron cut out was created with the Chevron Border punch.  The "hello" cut out was created with my ecutter using the Moments Ago stamp brush set---another must-have for all you digital divas.

I used bits and pieces of the Flower Pot designer series paper to make this card pop.  Now is the time to stock up on Designer Series Paper--it is Buy 3, Get 1 Free until the end of this month!

I'll leave you with a convention photography tip.......the perfect place to take photos of swap cards: place them on the back of the toilet in your hotel bathroom.  Near perfect lighting and neutral colors!   It's amazing all the things I learned this week and I can't wait to share more with you once I get home.

Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Class

One of the classes that I attended at convention featured a new kit from the upcoming holiday catalog. All the participants were challenged to create a card that was different from the designs given in the kit instructions. We then had to upload our card to Pinterest. The top 10 cards with the most likes would win a Stampin Up shopping spree.

So if you are reading this, follow the link below and like my card by clicking on the little heart icon.

I can't wait to get home and start playing with a bunch of new holiday products. And I really can't wait to share it all with you!

Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop!

I am overwhelmed with finishing my swaps for the Stampin' Up! convention.  Apparently, I had way too much to drink one night and thought I could create a bazillion cards in my abundant spare time.  LOL!

My convention roommate hosts a punch art swap every year and I find it to be one of the hardest ones.  I love punch art, but it's definitely not my strong suit.  However, I'm very pleased with the way this card turned out.

I worry that people won't know what it is.  I tested it on my husband and he answered correctly, but I'm certain that neither of my kids would know.

Since this card is definitely for people of a certain age, I thought it would be fun to turn it into a wiper card and have this sentiment pop up....

Since I'm going to be making a bazillion of these, I thought it would be fun to have a little contest.  The first person to email me with the names of all the punches used on this card will receive this card in the mail.  You can email your answer to me at [email protected].  Good luck!

And don't worry!  I'll post the directions for this card sometime after convention.
