My project is up!

Let me tell you a little's really hard for me to keep a secret.  Now, I can do it.  In fact, I'm required by law to keep secrets at my day job.  Have you heard of a little thing called patient confidentiality?  So even though I don't like keeping secrets, I've gotten good at it.

However, when it comes to stamping secrets.....that is really, really hard!  I was invited a couple of months ago to be a Guest Designer on UStamp with Dawn and Friends:  I ♥ the Holidays.  There are quite a few amazing Designers within this group, so I knew I would need to design something special for this event.

My project idea was to create a party logo in My Digital Studio and use it to create various items for a Halloween party.  I made a digital invitation, hybrid invitation, souvenir t-shirt, trick-or treat bag, and party banner.  It was so fun to see my party theme come together quickly and easily with My Digital Studio!

Here is the final result:

So what do you think?  Most of the time when I create something new, I can't wait to put it on my blog to share with you.  It has been so hard to sit back quietly for the past few weeks and not tell you about this!

The complete tutorial with step-by-step is instructions is available when you sign up for this session of UStamp.  Now you may be thinking that $24.95 is alot to pay for this one tutorial, but you are going to get so much bang for your buck!  Remember those other designers I told you about?  Well, they have all created AMAZING projects and each project has step-by-step instructions.  There were several times I silently thought "I'm not worthy" as I checked out their projects.  Jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring!  You don't want to miss another minute of UStamp!

Sunny Fun

Wow!  I can't believe my kids will be going back to school next week.  We are running around like a bunch of crazy people trying to get everything done.  Therefore, I've had very little time to stamp. So, I thought I would share another fabulous card created by one of my convention roommates, Chris Gillespie.  This one just makes me smile and remember all the fun we've had in our pool this year.

And aren't these the cutest flip-flops ever?  Chris did such a great job coloring all of these images!  I'm so glad she shared her talent with us at the shoebox swap.

And here is the completed card.  The finished card is 5-1/2" square.

The Sunny Fun stamp set and the Fish Frenzy Jumbo Wheel are only available until the end of August.  You'll find these and other great products in the Summer Mini catalog.

A little early....

Today I am sharing a fabulous card made by one of my convention roommates, Holly Reinagel.  This was the first time we roomed together and it was great being in the company of such fabulous talent.  When I saw her card, my jaw dropped.  I love all things Halloween, so this was right up my alley.  Come to find out, Holly was born on Halloween and she is even more of a Halloween freak than I am!

The moon is a 1" Circle sponged with Basic Gray ink.  The Tombstone was created with the 1-3/8" square punch and extra large oval punch.  The edges wer sponged with White craft ink.  She wrote "RIP" and stamped "bad to the bone".

The punched spider was created using the following punches:

  • 1-3/4" Circle (Basic Black)
  • 3/4" Circle (Whisper White)
  • 1/2" Circle (Lucky Limeade)
  • Bird Builder Punch (branch--Basic Black)
  • Owl Builder punch (small circles--Basic Black)
  • Extra Large Oval (Basic Black)
  • 3/4" Circle (Real Red)

**To cut slivers for smile and legs, cut half circle from edge of paper (discard) and then move in (approx 1/`6" for smile and 1/8" for legs) and punch; for legs repeat six times

The Skull was created using the following punches:

  • Cupcake Builder (cupcake bottom, small circles--Whisper White)
  • Owl Builder (large & medium circles, heart)
  • Word Window (punch 4 for bones)
  • Small Heart (punch 4 for bone ends)

**Turn cupcake bottom upside down & write teeth lines.  Dust all edges with basic gray ink before assembling.

So, over the weekend I finished up my tutorial for the Halloween project I created for UStamp with Dawn and Friends.  There are some wonderful designers creating projects for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  Each day, a new project will be posted complete with downloadable instructions.  The projects that I have seen are absolutely AMAZING!  I feel so very honored to be associated with this group.

I highly recommend you sign up for this edition of UStamp!  If you are a stamper/papercrafter, you will find so many great ideas for Holiday celebrations and gift -giving.  If you are a demonstrator, you will have some AWESOME project ideas to share with your customers throughout the holiday season.

The cost is $24.99 and the Opening Day is August 12th.  Sign up and you will have the best Holiday crafting season ever!
