Last-Minute Mojo

 I couldn't put the Easter Blossoms stamp set away without stamping a few more cards.  Today's card was created using the Mojo Monday sketch.  I kept the colors neutral for a very soft, feminine look.  I especially love the Crumb Cake Seam Binding ribbon and the Vintage Flower Adornment.

Birthday Mojo

 
This is one of the cards we"ll be making at my upcoming BIRTHDAY BASH Stamp-A-Stack.  Each card features the Bring on the Cake stamp set and Celebrations Designer Series Paper.  The colors are so bright & colorful.....perfect for birthdays!  I used the Mojo Monday sketch to create this simple design.  Finished card size is 4" x 4".

Got MOJO?

If you are a follower of my blog, you could probably tell that I have taken a bit of a break from stamping.  The summer months have been so busy & chaotic, so I've had to put a a few things on the back burner. 

However, my new stamps and accessories from the new catalog have been begging for me to play with them.  One of my first purchases was the Got Treats stamp set.  I love that it can be used for so many different occasions and the Mojo Monday sketch this week was great inspiration.

Punch Flower Video

I've had quite a few requests for how to make the flower from yesterday's card, so I shot a quick video.  It's real easy, and I would love to see your creations.  Leave a comment with a link to your project using the scallop punch flower.  Remember, this will work with any size of scallop circle punch or die.

New Stuff!

I am starting to feel like I have too many toys and not enough time!  I received a Cricut Expression and Gypsy for Mother's Day, the sewing machine for my birthday....and both already have a thin layer of dust on them.  So when it came time to order new items from the upcoming 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog, I decided to use a little restraint and only order a few things at first. 

I had my order ship by Next-Day air so that I could also get my hands on that new catalog.  I can't tell you any specifics, but you are going to LOVE it!  My wish list keeps growing and growing.

Lucky for you, I can show you projects that I make with the new products I received.  This is your official first sneak peek at new catalog items....and I tried to cram as many as I could onto this one card!  LOL!

I used the Mojo Monday 141 sketch for the layout.

I absolutely love this new stamp set called Artistic Etchings.  It is a set of 6 stamps and also features a key and Eiffel Tower images.  Here are a couple of close-ups:

You can check out the Scallop Rectangle Clearlits die in the picture above.  What is great about this die, is that you can stamp your image first, then because you can see where the die will cut, you can cut out the image accurately.  The finished piece measures 1-1/2" x 2".

You can also see the great textured background that I created with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  I sponged Crumb Cake ink over the raised images to make them stand out more.

By the way, Crumb Cake is the new name for Kraft.  We now have a stamp pad in Crumb Cake, too!  I love the way it looks on the sponged edges.

And finally, check out the Newsprint Designer Series Paper.  It gives a nice vintage look to any project and you only need to use a little bit.  I'm sure it will last me forever!

Mojo 133--Ooops!

I'll just say it.....I'm not perfect and my creations are not always perfect.  There!  I said it.

But for those of you that don't believe me, check this out:

See that big, gaping hole?  It's not suppose to be there.  I "thought" I could fit 3 brads in a row onto this card, but alas, it was not to be.  Sometimes less is more.

Here is the finished card with a few Photoshop fixes to make it presentable for you to see.

The patterned paper is from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper pad.  The stamp set is called Flower Fancy and it is on sale this month for 20% off.  If you like floral stamps, this is a great one!!!

MOJO 132---It's a 2 For 1!!!

I have a little confession to make.....I am a hoarder of pretty papers & accessories.  When I first received the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Pad, I just oooohed and ahhhhhed over the papers, afraid to cut them.  Crazy, huh?

And the Sweet Pea stitched felt.....well, I've had them since December and I just opened the package this week.

But, probably one of the items that I really regret not using sooner is the Chat Room rub-ons.  There are 90 different sayings that are perfect for cards & scrapbook pages, plus you receive a sheet of white rub-ons & brown rub-ons--180 sayings in all!!!  Amazing!!  I'm trying to use as many as I can before the Occasions Mini sales period ends on April 30th.  You definitely are going to want to add the Chat Room rub-ons to your next order.

I think this is such a clever way to say "Thank You!" or Way to Go!".

So, after I cut into the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Pad, I just couldn't stop with one card.  Here is the second card I made using the MOJO Monday sketch:

Don't you just love this color combo? It is Pumpkin Pie, Taken With Teal, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.  The butterfly was cut with the Big Shot using the Beautiful Wings embosslit.  And check out the greeting...

 

Since both of these cards used a small amount of the Designer Series Paper, I also created some scrapbook pages with the scraps.  I'll be sharing those with you in my next post.

Mojo Monday 129

There is a first time for everything.....I actually completed a Mojo Monday sketch on MONDAY!!!  I've been itchin' to stamp for the past week and this sketch was just what I needed to get my Mojo flowing again.

I stamped the Bella Toile in Pretty in Pink onto Whisper White card stock for the background.  Then I used 2 different Designer Series Papers for the layers.  The dots are from the Tea Party collection and the Houndstooth pattern is from the Sweet Pea collection.  The white background was embossed with the perfect polka dots embossing folder and the big shot.

For the bunny, I used the Chocolate Bunny stamp with Chocolate Chip craft ink.  I then heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder and a heat tool.  The bunny was cut out and adhered to the front panel with dimensionals.

And finally, I used the Pretty in Pink satin ribbon to tie the project together.

This card would definitely be perfect for Easter, but you could easily use it for a new baby or a baby shower card.

Chocolate & Stamping

 

This is my swap card for my downline meeting tomorrow.  For the card swap, everyone makes about 15 cards of the same style to swap with one another.  It's a lot of fun and a great way to get some creative ideas to take home & share with our customers!

 I used the Mojo Monday 124 Sketch again for the layout.  You'll also notice some of my recent favorites....Chocolate Satin Ribbon, the I {Heart} Hearts Stamp Set, and the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.  I kept the color pallette very simple with Very Vanilla, Kraft, and Chocolate Chip...looks like yummy chocolate, doesn't it?  The patterned paper is from the Chocolate Chip Patterns Designer Series Paper pack and the greeting is from the Whimsical Words stamp set.
