I'm bringing back some of my most popular classes from the last year.  These tutorials feature some retiring product, but you can easily substitute other colors, stamp sets, and papers to create your own unique project.

Today, I'm featuring the last 2 cards from my retirement Stamp-a-Stack class.  I meant to do this sooner, but my parents came for a visit and I ran out of time.

The first card was made with the stamp set, The Free and The Brave.  I used a torn piece of scrap paper to mask off a section of glossy white cardstock, then brayered color onto the corners.  Riding Hood Red and Night of Navy classic ink was used.  I allowed the cardstock to dry for a few minutes, then stamped the image with Night of Navy ink onto the glossy white cardstock.

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Glossy White, Kraft, Riding Hood Red*, Night of Navy

This next card was by far my favorite!  I'm not sure that I'm going to part with this stamp set....it's just too cute!

The background was wheeled with the See You Around jumbo wheel.  The lion image was stamped 3 times---full strength in More Mustard, stamped off one time in More Mustard, and full strength in Pumpkin Pie.  I then pieced the lion together to add dimension.

A Chocolate Chip marker was used to add accents to the giraffe and lion.

Paper:  Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie

On a final note, my catalogs will be arriving on Thursday, June 25th.  I will be mailing catalogs to out-of-town customers on Friday.  Local customers may pick up a copy at my office on Friday during business hours (9am--noon, 3pm--5pm).   There is also a Garage Sale scheduled for July 11th from 9am--noon at the stamp shack and you are welcome to pick up your catalog then.

Two Friends are Better than One!

Today's card features not one, but TWO retiring stamp sets:  Doodle This and Hugs & Wishes!  I created the flower image by using the Embossed Reinker Spread technique (try saying that fast three times!).  Patty Bennett has a wonderful video tutorial on her blog, so check it out.  I was a bit heavy handed with my reinkers on this card, but the effect was still lovely.  I cut out two flowers, then layered them together with a gold brad.  They shimmer, too!

Another Old Friend

Today I'm going to introduce you to Heartfelt Thanks.  Demonstrators received this stamp set at convention several years ago and new demonstrators have received this stamp set in their starter kits for at least the last two years.  It is a great set, very versatile and so simple to use.  You are sure to find tons of samples online made with this stamp set.

Goodbye to Some Old Friends

This week, I am going to introduce you to a few of my "old friends" before they retire and go away forever.  I've been having a bit of a creative block lately, but I had to design 5 cards for my Stamp-a-Stack class last week.  I decided to use all retiring stamp sets and I forgot how much I once loved them.....a few of them had a very thick layer of dust on their cases.  The great thing is that I fell in love all over again and I think that my creative MOJO is returning.  Hopefully I can inspire some of you to dust off those old, forgotten stamp sets and fall in love all over again.  Or maybe, you'll find something that you can't live without and have to order it before June 30th.

A Fun Bag Tag

I'm really going to miss the Bella Rose designer series paper!  It is so girly and pretty, I just love it!

This is a Bag Tag inspired by fellow demonstrator Patty Bennett.  We'll be making one of these tags at the Crop-a-Dile rocks class on Wednesday.  Plus, girls that attend my Just for Girls stamp camp in July will be making these along with several other fun projects.  If you live in the Kokomo area and know any girls ages 8--15, be sure to tell them about this class.  You can find all the information here.

A Preview of Things to Come.....

 This has been a big week for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  We are able to order sneak peek items from the new catalog AND receive a copy of the upcoming catalog!  It's like Christmas in June!

So, I've been neglecting my faithful blog readers and spending my evenings snuggled up with my new catalog.....dreaming of future classes, wonderful projects, and a few BIG events.

I've been playing with some of my new stamps and this is the first card that I made with the Razzle Dazzle stamp set.  The color combo was inspired by several cards in the catalog--Basic Black, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, and Melon Mambo. 

What is Melon Mambo, you ask?  Well, it is one of the new In Colors for 2009-2010 and it is a luscious shade of pink.  LOVE IT!!!

Below is a close-up of the raised accent on the card.  So, how do you think I was able to achieve a 2-color effect on the stamp---markers, perhaps? 

The good news is that there are In Color markers in the new catalog!  How fun!!!!

Bella Bleu Quilt Card

We made this card at the Big Shot Bonanza class yesterday with scraps of Bella Bleu designer series paper.  It is so easy to make and everyone loved the end result.  Simply adhere squares of paper to a piece of cardstock---I used 1" squares on 4" x 5" very vanilla cardstock.  Then run your "quilt" through the Big Shot and cut with the Top Note die.

The greeting is from the Oval All stamp set and I used 3 oval punches:  large oval, scallop oval, and wide oval.
